RMIT SOCCER CHALLENGE APRIL 2012

The annual RMIT Soccer Challenge was held on Sunday 1st April, 2012 and was a showcase of skill, teamwork and sportsmanship

Held at the Bundoora Netball and Sports Centre at RMIT’s Bundoora Campus, there were 32 teams registered for the tournament, along with a large group of individuals, who saved the day by combining to create a team to fill in for a last minute withdrawal.

Kick off was at 10am, and with 4 courts operating at the one time, it was hectic, loud and extremely skillful. Short, fast games were the key to this tournament, with 10 minute games for all teams, with referees from Football Federation Victoria keeping control. Some fantastic goals were scored, with players kicking upside down and through their own teammates to get past the keeper. A BBQ lunch fuelled our competitors throughout the day, and they eagerly awaited the updates to the pools on the whiteboard- with any mistake quickly picked up by their eagle eyes!... [more info]
